EHIM at the SIIA National Educational Conference and Expo Oct. 1-3 September 24, 2012 – SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – EHIM Inc. will be one of 150 companies exhibiting at the Self-Insurance Institute of America National Educational Conference and Expo Oct. 1-3, 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the company announced recently.
According to the SIIA, their conference is the world’s largest event focusing on the self-insurance/alternative risk transfer industry and typically attracts more than 1,600 attendees from around the United States and several other countries. The theme for this year’s conference is “Raising the Game,” and several speakers will be in attendance to share their expertise in the self-insurance/alternative risk transfer arena.

Annual Conference Expected to Attract More Than 1,600 Attendees
EHIM COO Jeffrey R. Lewis Keynote Speaker at ADAP 2012 Annual Conference August 14, 2012 – SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – EHIM is proud to announce that Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey R. Lewis is the keynote speaker for the ADAP 2012 Annual Conference in Washington, DC on Monday, August 21, 2012. The Summit is being held through Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Mr. Lewis’ keynote speech is entitled “The Health Care Challenges Facing ADAP and Those It Cares For.”
The fifth annual conference is titled “STAMP Out ADAP Waiting Lists” and is co-sponsored by the ADAP Advisory Association and Community Access National Network Housing Works. This year’s conference has several goals:
- Examine short and long-term recommendations for improving access to care,
- identifying relevant outcomes from global initiatives and their value on the domestic front,
- eliminate funding shortfalls with assistance programs and make it easier for patients to enroll, create a platform for emerging HIV/AIDS issues, and
- “facilitate ongoing dialogue between ADAP stakeholders, pharmaceutical industry and other applicable entities in order to collectively implement practical strategies to improve access to care by removing patients from wait lists.”
The ADAP Advisory Association’s mission is to promote and enhance the AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs) and improve access to care for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Most major drug manufacturers sponsor initiatives called patient assistance programs, which allows patients meeting certain income levels and other qualifications to receive free or low-cost prescription medication; ADAPs are a sub-set of these types of program.
The conference is expected to draw hundreds of participants and dozens of distinguished speakers from groups and organizations such as Access National Alliance of State & Territorial AIDS, Ramsell Holding Corporation , and AIDS Healthcare Foundation, among others.

Lewis is the keynote speaker for ADAP Solutions Summit in Washington, DC today. The Summit is being held through tomorrow, April 2, 2012.

EHIM COO Jeffrey R. Lewis Keynote Speaker at 13th Annual CBI PAP Conference March 5, 2012 – SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – EHIM is proud to announce that Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey R. Lewis is the keynote speaker for the 13th Annual Patient Assistance and Access Programs conference in Baltimore, Maryland on March 6 – 7, 2012.
Mr. Lewis’s presentation is titled “The Rx ROI and Patience Assistance — Blazing the Future Path Before it Is Created For You” and will focus on the changing terrain for medication and patient assistance, the impact of health reform and 340B pricing, and ways to use philanthropic dollars strategically to maximize return on investment for patient assistance programs (PAPs).
Mr. Lewis noted the importance of philanthropy in successful PAPs, calling it a core component of EHIM’s corporate philosophy.
“Philanthropy is not limited to the nonprofit world,” he said. “Rather, philanthropy is the fabric of everyday life.”
Patient assistance programs are used by the chronically uninsured or underinsured, and offer substantial benefits to employer groups, too, he said. PAPs focus on chronic disease conditions and specialty medications, allowing employers to “reduce their bottom line costs through free or subsidized programs offered by manufacturers,” Mr. Lewis said.
The conference is expected to draw hundreds of participants and 65 distinguished speakers who will discuss a broad range of topics including prescription assistance, patient access, and safety net resources.

EHIM CEO and founder Mindi Fynke names Jeffrey R. Lewis as Chief Operating Officer June 1, 2011 – SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – EHIM CEO and founder Mindi Fynke is pleased to announce that Jeffrey R. Lewis has joined the EHIM family as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. As COO, Mr. Lewis will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company.
Mr. Lewis served as Chief of Staff to Teresa Heinz, and President and Chief Operating Officer at the Heinz Family Philanthropies between 1991 and his appointment at EHIM. He is experienced in entrepreneurial philanthropy, major fiscal development, and large scale change management. Previously, he served in Congress as Staff Director to the late Senator John Heinz, and on the senior staff to other senators.
Mr. Lewis has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Michigan, a Master of Science Degree in Gerontology from The University of Southern California, and his Juris Doctorate from The Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. He sat down earlier this year for an interview with Healthcare Finance News.
