EHIM Pharmacy Administrator Mona Hamood a Guest Panelist at MDAHU Meeting Published on 10/26/2011 11:08:00 AM October 24, 2011 – SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – EHIM’s Mona Hamood, Director, Pharmacy Administration, is a guest panelist at the Metro Detroit Association of Health Underwriters (MDAHU) meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 in Southfield.
High tech drugs have saved the lives of millions of chronically ill Americans. However, their use is one of the major cost-drivers behind the increasing cost of health insurance. A panel of industry experts will debate the issues of cost vs. quality of life. The panel is entitled “Specialty Drugs: Cost vs. Quality of Life.”
Industry professionals who will participate include Hamood; Tony Petitta, R. Ph., MBA, Henry Ford Health Systems; Hiral Patel, Pharm D., MBA, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan; and Steve Marciniak, R. Ph., Director of Pharmacy, Priority Health. The panel moderator is Jason Klein of Medtipster.
The MDAHU meeting is being held at the Marriott Hotel, 27033 Northwestrern Highway, Southfield, MI 48033. The cost for admission is $15 per member and $30 for non-members.
